Ta \u010dinjenica dovoljan je razlog zbog kojeg znanstvenici tragaju za novim materijalima kako bi pobolj\u0161ali u\u010dinkovitost solarnih \u0107elija. \u010cini se da su uspjeli i prona\u0107i jedan takav materijal, ili bolje re\u010deno, dobitnu kombinaciju materijala u obliku spoja feroelektri\u010dnih i paraelektri\u010dnih materijala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Znanstvenici sa sveu\u010dili\u0161ta Martin Luther (MLU) u Halle-Wittenbergu otkrili su da mogu pove\u0107ati u\u010dinkovitost feroelektri\u010dnih materijala kombiniraju\u0107i ih s jo\u0161 dva paraelektri\u010dna materijala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Feroelektri\u010dan zna\u010di da materijal ima prostorno odvojene pozitivne i negativne naboje. Odvajanje naboja dovodi do asimetri\u010dne strukture koja omogu\u0107ava proizvodnju elektri\u010dne energije iz svjetlosti, obja\u0161njava fizi\u010dar dr. Akash Bhatnagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Za razliku od silikona, feroelektri\u010dni ne trebaju pozitivno i negativno dopirane slojeve da bi stvorili fotovoltni u\u010dinak. To zna\u010di i jednostavniju proizvodnju samih solarnih panela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ipak, materijal koji je izazvao zanimanje znanstvenika, barijev titanat, zapravo ne upija toliko sun\u010deve svjetlosti, pa posljedi\u010dno i ne stvara veliku koli\u010dinu elektri\u010dne energije. No najnovije istra\u017eivanje pokazalo je da se kombiniranjem ekstremno tankih slojeva barijeva titanata s paraelektri\u010dnim materijalima, stroncij titanatom i kalcij titanatom, uvelike pove\u0107ava koli\u010dine proizvedene energije.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Va\u017eno je ovdje da se feroelektri\u010dni materijal sla\u017ee u sendvi\u010d s paraelektri\u010dnim materijalom. Iako potonji nema odvojene naboje, on mo\u017ee postati fotoelektri\u010dan pod odre\u0111enim uvjetima, primjerice na niskim temperaturama ili kad je njegova kemijska struktura neznatno modificirana, poja\u0161njava Bhatnagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Umetnuli smo barijev titanat izme\u0111u stroncijeva i kalcijeva titanata. To smo postigli isparavanjem kristala pomo\u0107u sna\u017enog lasera i njihovim ponovnim nano\u0161enjem na podloge nosa\u010da. Tako smo stvorili materijal od 500 slojeva debljine 200 nanometara, ka\u017ee Yaseul Yun s MLU-a, autor studije.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Provode\u0107i fotoelektri\u010dna mjerenja, taj novi materijal ozra\u010den je laserskim svjetlom, a rezultat je zapanjio i same znanstvenike. U usporedbi s \u010distim barijevim titanatom sli\u010dne debljine, tok struje u novom kompozitu bio je i do 1000 puta ja\u010di.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Me\u0111udjelovanje tih slojeva dovelo je, \u010dini se, do mnogo ve\u0107e permitivnosti. Drugim rije\u010dima, elektroni se mogu kretati mnogo lak\u0161e zbog njihove uzbu\u0111enosti pokrenute utjecajem fotona, poja\u0161njava Bhatnagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mjerenja su pokazala i da je taj efekt vrlo robustan te da ostaje gotovo konstantan i tijekom perioda od \u0161est mjeseci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biti \u0107e potrebno jo\u0161 istra\u017eivanja kako bi se otkrilo \u0161to to\u010dno izaziva tako u\u010dinkovit fotoelektri\u010dni u\u010dinak, a Bhatnagar vjeruje da njihov koncept ima i tr\u017ei\u0161nu budu\u0107nost te mogu\u0107u aplikaciju u solarnim panelima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ta slojevita struktura pokazuje ve\u0107u proizvodnju energije na svim temperaturama za razliku od \u010distih feroelektri\u010dnih materijala.
